Support for the Regulatory Change on Seed Law

I support the purposed addition of language to include cotton seed in the VA Seed Law.

Currently there is no specific recognition to any germination requirements for cotton seed.  This change will protect cotton producers to guarantee the integrity of the seed they plant.

This would allow VA to be in compliance with the current seed law that the State of NC has in place. There has been past situation where seed was distributed below germination standards within the state.  Having no language in place jeopardizes the adequate viability that the seed is sold on.

Respectfully Submitted,
