Please use ARPA funding to increase rates for waiver services in order to recruit and retain highly qualified direct support professionals and increase available service options for individuals with disabilities.  For years, staffing shortages have made it difficult for individuals with disabilities and their families to access needed services.  The pandemic has only made staffing shortages worse, which has led to further decreases in service availability.  Using American Rescue Plan Act funds to increase service options for these Americans who are in need of a rescue plan is an urgent and appropriate use of these funds.
