Clinical psychologists unwilling to do comprehensive neuropsych testing

Clinical psychologists are unwilling to do testing because they say that they are only reimbursed for a maximum of six hours. They are complaining that six hours of reimbursement is inadequate for the real amount of time which they have to spend on testing, analysis, interpretation, and writing of the reports.

The consequential inability of the Medicaid recipient to get testing and reports from that testing means that those Medicaid recipients do not receive the correct diagnoses and treatment. That problem then snowballs and dominos into additional problems related to their subsequent claims for disability where the federal government has to request independent consultative examiners for the purpose of evaluating these Medicaid patients.
