These funds need to be used to give an increase in the hourly rate paid to Agencies. We are not reimbursed enough to cover the increase in minimum wage. We are not paid enough for what we are required to have to operate through medicaid as a provider. CD Pas is paid at a higher rate than we are and they do not have to have training, our aides do, they are given vacation time and allowed to work overtime and that cannot be offered to aides working for an agency because we are not paid enough. There are lots of fraud going on with CD PAs and it is reported daily to MCO's and nothing is done about it, all the while Agencies are overseeing all the care being done by their aides, keeping in touch with them making sure that they are getting the care they need and we are not being reimbursed for this. When agencies have to close down because of not getting enough money hourly to cover what they need to then there is going to be a lot more fraud and a lot more elderly people not getting the care they need or deserve because no one has to oversee CD Pas and even when it is reported nothing is done. This money needs to go to giving agencies a fighting change to keep aides because we would be able to pay more.
