Attendant pay through Consumer Direct

$10.50 is not sufficient pay for Consumer Direct caregivers. McDonalds is paying $15 an hour. If action is not take so that attendants are adequately paid for their work, people with disabilities will be forced to live in nursing homes, which violates our ADA rights to live in the least restrictive environment possible. The pay needs to be at least $15 an hour. Consumer Direct is the lowest paying job in a healthcare-adjacent field. Agencies typically pay between $12-$15 an hour. I'm not understanding why Consumer Direct doesn't at least pay the same as agencies.
