Increased Admin Time Due To DMAS outdated systems

Since the conversion to the EVV Personal care Agency Providers are spending weeks instead of hours reconciling DMAS Remittance advices. I just got off the phone with an analyst who told me "We can only direct you on how to get the remit, we don't know or have any way of telling you how to download it". Previously you could bill weekly or monthly etc from 3/1 to 3/7/2021  for 73hrs and the remittance will be a line item. Now the remittance which is only in PDF format breaks this 73hrs by shift. If there are 4 different shifts in the day we get 4 different line items on the remittance. Not only do we get four different line items, they are not arranged in chronological order by date. They are all over the place. To reconcile payments with hours worked you have to manually input each line item in excel to do a proper reconciliation. The insurance companies that offer CCC Plus have this figured out. You can download as a CSV file and work with it that way. They also have theirs arranged by date in chronological order which makes it easier although they still have them each as line items also. This is what we called DMAS to find out if they also have the capability to convert to CSV or Excel and neither the staff nor her supervisor had any clue. They also say they do not have an IT person on staff that could answer the question. This is totally frustrating. Apart from the difficulties keeping staff on with the low reimbursement rates, we are now spending copious amount of time on administration of the program. This is totally unacceptable. Part of that fund should be used to upgrade the DMAS system if funding is the reason for this horrid mess.
