Live-in attendants

As is being done on a temporary basis, allow the live-in primary caregiver to be a paid attendant going forward on a permanent basis. Many living goals for these consumers include being allowed to remain in their homes as opposed to a facility or group home. Who better to care for them and accomplish this goal than the primary caregiver who, in most cases, lives with them and is family so has a vested, loving interest in their success and wellbeing in life. Further, this person, if paid, could possibly not have to work outside the home,  therefore providing a more stable,  consistent environment for the consumer. Given the extra hours at home in the day, this person could provide a more holistic life for the consumer by integrating community activity  and workplace involvement in addition to the home life. Thank you.
