Changes to standards/guidelines should not be proposed this close to an election.

It is critical that people see the election as fair. This decision opens up controversy.

If people can start early voting this week, they can certainly get a ballot and have it dropped in the box by election day or mailed in time to be counted.

Should this be considered, at a minimum, the drop boxes should be removed when the polls close and ballots must have a postmark. People run into post offices on April 15 to get returns stamped. This is no different.
