At my current job site there is no standardization with COVID-19 at all. My partner was recently sent for a COVID-19 test, was not allowed to return to the job site and was given only the option to use vacation or take points, which can lead to termination. We need some type of methods and procedures so that workers are not put under such stress. If a company will not allow an employee to return to work, there should be no chance the employ could be penalized because of an illness and fears related to COVID-19. The company stated this is business as usual and this is not that. We have always been expected to report to work sick or risk losing our position. And there is no past practice example at our job site of an employee being told he or she can not report to work.
