Proposed Regulation - Comments

In general, request flexibility where possible for implementation by local governments to allow for similar or alternate protective measures and/or plans/policies.

Request that if there is an opportunity to condense and simplify the regulation while still providing for protection of the public and employees, that condensing/simplifying of the regulation be explored further to help businesses and local governments in more readily achieving compliance during this active COVID-19 response time.

Also, request that ample time is provided for both the effective date and for the compliance timeline.

P. 12 – the reference to installation of floor to ceiling barriers – request more flexibility here to allow for plexiglass, plastic, etc. barriers to sufficiently screen employees without requiring the barrier to extend completely to the ceiling.

P. 14 – Physical distancing – request more flexibility here to allow for plexiglass, plastic, etc. barriers to sufficiently screen employees without requiring the barrier to extend completely to the ceiling.

p. 19 – Return to work – test-based strategy – request that this is modified to only require 1 negative COVID-19 test after symptoms have subsided rather than 2 tests greater than 24 hours apart.

p. 22 – item #2 – cleaning after interacting with customers – how frequently is the cleaning to occur in areas where customers are regularly entering to make payments or obtain other services such that there is regular public entry and exit of the area?
