I have noticed a lot of comments on here from people saying no masks. But in reading them, I find most are from people who do not understand how wearing the mask works. They say "Their body, their decision". That is false.

Their decision to wear a mask is not to protect themselves but to protect others from them. In reality, the their statement should be "My body, my decision to infect other people." In asymptomatic people, they will not know they are spreading the virus, and the only way to stop/reduce it is for them to be wearing a mask. I would like for some of these people to wonder why they wear masks in hospitals -- do they think it is for the "look" or because the mask controls infection?

If mandatory masks are not required, we will probably be in for a huge second wave this fall, one that could shut down the economy again, and lead to a worse situation that the one we currently find ourselves in.

The only way to help provide protection for everyone is if everyone is required to wear a mask. Otherwise, the protection does not work.
