Caring for a person with "Special Needs" can be very stressful.  The EVV app requirement has just doubled that stress on our family.  Our Daughter is in a wheelchair, non verbal and without going into details depends on a lot of "Special" care.  In the past her care workers could write their time in and time out.  A lot of time they go over their allowed time because there are times you cannot just stop what you're doing and go run to a phone to make sure to punch out.  Now they are being forced to do this. Whoever made this decision can't possibly know what is involved in caring for "Special Needs" people. For one thing everyone is different in their own way. We are being made to make a choice: If we don't use the EVV app our daughter will lose greatly needed help. If we do use the app our daughter will be left choking on food, laying waiting for a diaper change to be completed, miss a bus because it didn't pull up around a punch time on the app, pull over on the highway because you got stuck in traffic and its time to punch out.  It's been stated in the information from medicaid that my daughter will lose her care if this happens and I can tell there is no way for us to keep this from happening.   Like I said, all "Special Needs" people are different.
