Please keep Item 313 #27s in the Budget. This is Language Only that exempts Live-in Caregivers from the Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) system under the Medicaid Waiver.

Please exempt Live Ins from EVVFederal Center for Medicaid Services (CMS) has said that states may exempt Live-in Caregivers.

People who live with the recipient (usually parents) are not "visiting" and are on the clock 24/7 for 365 days a year. This is NOT A SHIFT that we clock in and clock out.

There is no need for GPS verification of where we are-- We Live Here with the recipient.

This is an onerous burden on families that are already overwhelmed. I can't tell you how many times I forget to log in or log out or the application is not working or I don't have time to take all the steps to problem solve the application.

The cost is minimal in exempting families. The DMAS staff and Appropriations staff are exaggerating any costs associated with exempting families. The Fiscal Agents already know who is a live-in because we are exempted from taxes and that is of record.

Include Item 313 #27s in the Budget.
