EVV is a deterrent for most aides.  No one wants to have trackers on their phone.  Low pay already has us down to family members for aides.  Needless to say, I work 24/7 for my son who lives with us.  When another aide is not present, I fill in the gaps, sometimes having to cancel my own work to cover.  Signing in and signing out would exceed my son's weekly hours and other aides wouldn't be paid, so of course, I don't sign in until end of pay period so I only charge for hours left after other aides are paid.  I guess this doesn't work for VA but we are just trying to make it work for us.
