There are a lot of direct care workers like mine that work off the clock after hours. If someone needs your help, you are not going to say, "later, good luck". Same when I am talking to her. She doesn't interrupt me when I am talking about my serious health concerns and problems to say "later". She stays and helps me and talks to me about my concerns, off the clock sometimes for an hour or more. We both lose track of time when it comes to serious issues and it happens with me all the time. Not letting her have the breathing room everyone needs to do a good job is going to suffocate our working relationship.
