This is a major concern for actual clients and family members PLEASE LISTEN DMAS

I don't understand why more state advocates won't speak out against EVV.   Numerous times over the years they have asked us to support certain causes like fully funding level 1/urgent waiver waitlist or  stopping Virginia from becoming a euthanasia state... etc.   Why isn't this issue very important? Even our SF says most of her clients will be leaving because they don't use computers, etc... Many of the attendants don't use smart phones... At least 1/3 of the attendants I have hired don't drive a car... (only people I find for the job)…  This is a low paying no benefits job.  Even with that we are able to hire better people and treat our loved ones better then they would be treated in a group home or nursing home (the alternative placement to having them home.)  What is the plan here?  For DMAS to pretend it supports community living, but then take away all the options?  many of the actual clients and family members see and understand what a hardship EVV is on the disabled.  Not to even mention the tracking aspect of it.  Do you want hunted all day long?
