There are many different levels of needed care for people with live in caregivers. They might be considered high functioning, and yet many times still dont have the capacity to be left unsupervised. When that happens, they arent authorized for 24 hour care, sometimes even less than 40 hours a week. Those caregivers are putting in more hours than they are paid for,  simply because they cant be left alone. Which makes trying to establish when are you supposed to check in or out difficult- if not impossible.
