https://www.beckershospitalreview.com/quality/virginia-children-s-hospital-under-probe-more-than-2-years-on-abuse-neglect-allegations.html    this is one of many many horrific reports of group care in Virginia.   There is a story up on the Disability Law site where staff at a group home slammed the door on a man with intellectual impairments hand and cut off his fingers...  Imagine that DMAS...  living in a setting some CSB social worker placed you in, while they pretended you have human rights and you selected the place...  then loosing your fingers cause the place the CSB social worker stuck you has crappy staff.   Did any of that staff go to jail?  Did the man get moved to a new home?  No and No...   odds are the person was placed on more psy meds to make him more docile to tolerate the crappy life CSB has provided..   why do these higher cost placements make DMAS happy?     

Did you see the news report about the man raping all the women at a day support site in Fairfax?    DBHDS didn't find anything wrong with this...   didn't site the facility for leaving a rape-ist alone with vulnerable adults...  there paperwork was straight all that matters...   and these are just the stories that made the news...  what about the ones that didn't?  these people can't speak for themselves...
