Appraising

I could write much on the topic at hand, but reading over the previous entries, I don't need to. It's already been said. I'll just give one example from yesterday when an AMC called me to do an assignment a couple hours away from my coverage area. This same AMC has been calling me for the last few weeks with different callers giving me the same line: You don't need to go to the property; you do everything from your desk. When I remind them the subject is far outside my coverage area someplace I have NEVER been to before, they don't care. Their job is to find someone to do this assignment, and they have no concern for the quality or accuracy, only that they cross that assignment off their list and get on to the next one. I had them remove my name from their appraiser panel. Now they will probably claim a scarcity of appraisers! No, there is a lack of ethical appraisers willing to feed the greediness of the AMCs and banks.
