History

I have been a resident of this beautiful city since May 1985. Having grown up in Philadelphia with all of its historic perspectives. As awful as that city is to live they understand what their historic responsibilities are. Removing a statue or forbidding speech does not make the history our predecessors experienced cease to exist. We owe our future generations a truthful interpretation, not a PC version. The powers to be should be ashamed. The Americans who fought on both sides did so with a belief in protecting a way of life, thank goodness it was our precious Constitution that prevailed. We are better than this, a small number of loud discontented people are pushing for something most of the city has no problem with. We have a disgraced Governor who is looking for a scapegoat, General R.E. Lee.
