Removing this monument will not erase the history behind it. It makes you no better than the Nazis who removed any monument that they did not like. As in, didn’t fit their agenda. Instead of being destructive why don’t you use the monuments as a teaching opportunity. Did you know that families would visit these monuments because they had no burial place to visit. Thousands of southern soldiers never made the final trip home and these statues stood as memorials to the dead.

Leave the monuments alone!!
