Bringing renewable energy to the Commonwealth is a no brainer. The economic powerhouse of renewables will bring needed well paying jobs, this is already born out in DC as well as other states and nations around the globe. It will preserve our environmental legacy, help preserve the bay, help preserve our forests and streams, bringing in tourist dollars. It will help with healthcare costs - reducing asthma, tick borne disease, and heat stroke.  It is a way to bring jobs to rural Virginia as well as the cities and suburban areas. It will help to control the climate effects that are damaging our coastline. Costs of these technologies are in line with traditional fossil fuel costs. We want Virginia to be on the leading edge of energy technology and environmental stewardship, not lagging behind.
