Thanks to the net metering system in place,we chose to install a 6 KW PV system on our home that has provided all of our electrical needs fir the last 2.5 years. We have saved over 10 tons of CO2. The system was costly, and we don't earn enough to take advantage of tax credits. The incentives system should be structured to encourage people at all income levels to install of systems on their homes. Builders should be required to orient houses in a way that allows for optimal use of solar energy. Time is running out.
