Say YES to Clean Energy Plan

Virginia should be required to cut carbon pollution from power plants and allow us to trade carbon allowances with other states.  Burning fossil fuels has been one of the largest sources of pollution for our treasured waterways in Virginia Beach.  Reducing carbon emissions will go a long way to helping restore our waterways and the Chesapeake Bay.  It will also encourage renewable energy investments that can help create jobs, lower our electric bills, and improve public health.

The Federal govenment is not acting, it is up to the states to bring about the needed pathway to a cleaner future for our children.  In joining with other states, our voice will be stronger and show the country that Virginia is a leader in environmental issues.

I strongly support moving ahead with the Clean Energy Plan.
