The CVWMA believes the solid waste planning regulations are important and necessary for the protection of public health, safety and welfare and governmental functions.  A periodic review of the regulations is deemed important for clarity and keeping current with industry and best practices.   The current solid waste planning regulations 9VAC20-130 were implemented more than 10 years ago; a periodic review has not been conducted during the period of time since implementation.  A periodic review of the solid waste planning regulations would be important to the Commonwealth of Virginia.  Therefore, please accept CVWMA’s support for a periodic review of 9VAC20-130 Solid Waste Planning Regulations.
