Do not change definition of

The voter ID law is a good example of a solution looking for a problem.  Virginia does not have and has never had a voter fraud problem.  What it now has is a mechanism in place that makes it more difficult for certain segments of our society to vote--the poor who do not have transportation, the elderly who no longer drive even though they may have an expired license.  (State Senator Mark Obenshain, proposes an amendment whereby the definition of "valid" leaves off the statement of accepting "expired" driver's licenses.)

A truly free society should encourage all segments of our society to vote.  By encouraging them to vote, we also encourage them to be good citizens by contributing to our democracy in a positive way.
