Valid Voter ID

As a voter in Virginia, I only want registered citizens to vote.  Once registered , that should be enough to vote.  But now we have to have a Photo ID.  If such an ID is needed to prove who that person is, it should be an ID with a recognizable  picture  and the person's name, the same as on the voter registration list.  It should not matter if the ID has expired,KX since it is only to prove that the person presenting the ID is indeed the person of that name.  Many Photo IDs have no expiration dates.  There are many reasons that someone may not want or be able to renew an ID with an expiration date, but that would not change who that person is.
