Senator Obenshain is a conservative Republican. It is pertinent to understand that blindly following his lead will not direct Virginia to the place we are hoping to be. We should be a model for the other states through our virtues of equality and the openness.

To impose further restrictions on the basic right and responsibility of voting will make Virginia suffer in the future. Voting is an inherent part of being a citizen of the United States and preventing the demographic of seniors and minorities is a violation of our natural rights ensured to us by the framer's of the Constitution. We should be doing everything in our power to prevent further obstructions like the ones Republicans are supporting.
