Until there is a change in the US Constitution that time limits citizenship, it is assinine to exclude citizens from the democratic proc ess because a government ID, such as a driver's license, has an expiration date. If you are registered to vote, meet the constitutional requirements to vote and there is no evidence that you have been stripped of or renounced citizenship, then denial of the ability to vote must be unconstitutional. And, a cynical political ploy to suppress the vote.
The onus must be placed upon the State to prove absence of citizenship and not upon an individual who is registered to vote.
Thank you.
