The fact that this bill is being applied to facilities that provide abortion services, but is not being applied to ANY facility that provides any kind of outpatient surgery services, is ridiculous. If we're going to levy this on women's health facilities (which, of course, mostly provide services other than abortions), it needs to be applied fairly to any facility that provides services of a comparable kind, such as oral surgery, cosmetic surgery, and even dermatological surgery. There are many facilities of these kinds that are not hospitals, nursing homes, or certified nursing facilities, and the fact that they are being allowed to slide under the radar is ridiculous.
