Possibe changes to the Medicaid Program

I am the parent of a 14-year old girl who has a diagnosis of both autism and Dravet Syndrome. The latter is a severe form of epilepsy. She does not speak, dress herself, use the bathroom or process information in a normal way. The DMAS services we receive, especially the attendant hours, are an enormous help to our family. Our attendant is a wonderful woman with several kids of her own. She has come to view my daughter as a member of her family and had been with us roughly 12 years. It often takes an adult and sometimes two to handle my daughter. If we did not have this help, at least one of us would have to stay home to take care of our daughter. I think having lots of attendant hours saves us from thinking about a full-time home placement for several years. I am happy to answer questions.
