We need to keep our independent facilitators that help support the families of those caring for a member with disabilities. Merging the responsibilities with the financial brokers will cause a major disruption in support and a lapse in proper support will inevitably be the result. Financial brokers such as PPL already struggle to provide adequate financial management properly. In fact they already do not do it well and I have to keep on them to get the simplest updates done. They are not involved with the details of the care our disabled family member needs. Moving the facilitator care to the financial management agencies will cause an extra burden on the families and leave them without an advisor and advocate. It will overwhelm the financial brokers.
