I have learned that The Family Foundation has submitted a petition to the Virginia Board of Health calling for a ban on trans women in sports, and falsely claiming they are a public health threat to the physical and psychological health of cis women. 

This petition has nothing to do with safety.  Instead, it encourages hate and fear, and  allows for discrimination against our trans neighbors and fellow citizens.

The Dept of Health is there to promote the health and well-being of ALL Virginians, regardless of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, and socio-economic background.  And I am counting on the Dept of Health to do its job.

I don't understand how an organization that calls itself the "Family" foundation can mount such an attack on the safety and dignity of fellow Virginians.  I think most Virginians agree that hate is not a family value.
