I urge you not to adopt politically-motivated regulations which have no basis in medical necessity nor in protection of women's health but which, on the contrary, will make it harder for health centers to provide high-quality health care and onlyharder for women and couples to access critical reproductive health care services, including life-saving cancer screenings, family planning, STI testing and treatment, and continued safe, legal abortion care.

The proposed regulations, which will require health centers to expend substantial time and resources on physical alterations for no medical reason, not only will likely increase financial hurdles for patients but also make it substantially harder for women to find health care providers for critical, legal health-care services. Low-income and rural women will have even less access than others to safe, legal family planning services and abortion care.

Please put access to affordable, high quality health care for all ahead of politics as usual.
