This is a call for reason for the Virginia Board of Health.  This country was founded on the principle of a separation of church and state, and these regulations are based on moral declarations-- not logic, not science, and not the best interest of women.

Women have been losing absolutely essential access to health services over the past couple of years, and it is as though we are taking 10 steps backward to an era when equal rights were not, in fact, guaranteed for all.

I wear my "Virginia is for Lovers" shirt with pride, and I pray that my former home will not make me ashamed to say I once lived here.  It is my hope that the regulations will be amended to be based purely on medicine and science and should not impede women's access to essential health care.
