As a resident of Virginia and a woman, I ask the committee to consider the health and saftey of women. The politiics and morality of abortion aside,  since abortion became legal in 1973, women across this nation have been led to believe the promise that legalization would make abortion safe and rare. If that is to be true, abortion faciilties should be held to the same standards as hospitals in regards to cleanliness, medical protocol, and regulations. To not do so it to do an injustice to women, who were promised access to safe, legal and rare abortions.
