Delay and restriction of access to Abortion

At age 67, it is a pretty sure bet that I will not need the services I am writing to protect.  Having worked with pregnant teens for 15 years during my working life, I have seen the gamut of reasons and rationalizations for and against abortion. Fewer than 5 of the girls I worked with (probably 1000 or more) actually chose abortion.  Never in those 15 years did I see a young woman take the decision lightly.  The same was true for women whom I knew in my personal life,  most of whom were married.  Their reasons for seeking  to terminate their pregnancies were as varied as they were.  But not one made the decision lightly.  To encumber such women with unnecessary tests and needless delays is costly in both dollars and in emotional stress.  I don't believe it will deter more than the tiny group of women who are wavering all along.  I have seen such women walk out on the day of their scheduled procedure; and if they do, that is fine. It is their choice.  What these new requirements will do is  exacerbate distress and cost a lot more money.  Neither of these is a good result. Please reconsider these thinly veiled efforts to intervene in a woman's right to decide what course is best for her.  Thank you.
