I want to state my strong opposition to the TRAP laws - the "Personhood" bill and the bill requiring vaginal ultrasounds.  These laws serve no purpose other than to deny rights guaranteed to Virginians and all Americans by the United States Constitution, as interpreted repeatedly by our federal courts and our precious civil society.  The Virginia Legislature is about to choose to spit in the face of American democracy and human decency by considering and passing these bills.

The FBI defines rape as "penetration, no matter how slight, of the vagina or anus with any body part or object, or oral penetration by a sex organ of another person, without the consent of the victim".  The ultrasound bill clearly falls under this definition, as it strips away a woman's ability to consent.  Passing this bill codifies legally sanctioned rape into Virginia law.

Please come to your limited senses and stop Virginia from becoming a Legislative Rape state.
