My hope that professional ethical Board of Health members will recognize and protect women's rights

Dear Board of Health Members,

Your actions are now being watched closely by the military and the pain you may inflict upon military families and military personnel serving in Virginia. If Virginia persists on promoting more religiously motivated destructive restrictions, there will be no alternative but to seek federal intervention for access for these rights to be restored through access to that which is being eliminated by opening military installations to serve their personnel.  No military females and families are servants of Virginia. We are and still recognize an allegience to an oath to the United States, and although your actions must be taken as an assault upon all Virginia women, it behooves men and women in the military to promote support for federal action for clinics devoted to access for its personnel.  The high standard of care provided by women's health centers, especially Planned Parenthood Centers, is proven by their impressive safety record. Abortion is one of the safest medical procedures. Over-regulation will limit access to a wide range of preventive reprductive health care services provided by women's health clinics, including life-saving cancer screenings, family planning, and sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment. It is my sincere hope that the regulations will be amended to be based purely on medicine and science and will not impede women's access to essential health care. You are treading on Mr. Jefferson's grave with such disrespect and a deliberate intention of infusion of religiously based politics that one has to wonder where Virginia has lost its way and respect for its daughters. One has to ask, Have you no shame? Is it really coming to a day when armed convoys will have to offer women of Virginia a chance to visit a state which honors their choice. Your careful consideration is warranted.
