Virginia needs to stay in RGGI

My city of Alexandria is increasingly suffering from the effects of climate change, with our streets having been flooded numerous times in recent years by devastating storms.  The success of RGGI has shown that it is one of the most effective mechanisms for reducing the fossil fuel emissions that are causing climate change, including these increasingly destructive storms, as well as providing nearly $300 million in sorely needed revenue to prepare for future floods.  This is in addition to the nearly $330 million that RGGI has provided for increasing energy efficiency in the homes of Virginians.  It could not be more clear that remaining in RGGI is in the interest of Virginia and Virginians.
