I am a licensed energy auditor in cental and east coast Virginia. I literally go into these homes and test and document all aspects of electrical and fuel usage that these homes consume. Then I create a plan to reduce this consumption at the most economical way possible.  Hundreds of my past clients have benefitted and many more are waiting for this assistance. The people I serve are the elderly and poor that paid for own homes but yet can't afford any upgrades including general maintenance and repairs. The move out of this program will hurt the most at need in our society. Those who benefit won't even notice.
