I think many of the new regulations proposed for clinics that perform abortions are unnecessary and designed not to protect the health of women but to make abortion more costly and thus less available to women of limited financial means.
This is simply unreasonable and a poor way to go about crafting reasonable abortion policies that meet the needs--and reflect the views--of most Virginians. Early-term abortion must remain legal, safe and affordable. Regulations should follow these guidelines, not the preferences of one side of the abortion debate.
