Don't Shoot The Moose!

Though only a member since July, my Lodge has been a source of great friendship & fellowship since the loss of my wife of 40 years. I am alarmed to see this threat to the very existence of our small, rural Lodge, and I can clearly see the threat to many others in the area.

The double-whammy of quadrupling the required donations, and also disallowing gaming proceeds to pay for utilities and payroll would be the death of many a lodge. And it doesn't take more than a cursory look at a balance sheet to know this.

I implore you to reconsider. Doubling the current amount, and perhaps limiting the amount that can be used for internal expenses should accomplish what you seek, unless you really ARE seeking to force lodges to close.
