Charitable Gaming

With the recent proposal of SB 403, I want to share some concerns that will modestly effect our lodge.

11VAC20-20-20 Charitable gaming authorization for electronic gaming:

Raising the percentage to 40% - How was this percentage propsed and what justification backs this decision? This amount will take away from what we can currently share back to our community and charities. I do hope this percentage will be reconsidered around 20% range. The smaller organizations will either go under, or stop gaming which will decrease membership.

Additional requirements for depositing funds, requires a meeting of officers once a day, which is not feasible. Additionally, this adds burden to increase work, along with onsite gaming manager, but salaries cannot be used as reasonable and proper business funds?

I hope some of these recommendations will be re-evaluated and keep the best interest of each and every organization effected by these changes.
