Opposing withdrawal from RGGI

I strongly support bold action to tackle climate change and am opposed to Governor Youngkin's intention to withdraw Virginia from RGGI. Roanoke is receiving essential funding to weatherize homes and make us more resilient to the negative effects of climate change. We need to be doing more, not less, so we can't afford to see these funds disappear. RGGI is working to reduce pollution, save low income households on their utility bills, and create good local jobs for roofers, electricians, and HVAC professionals. If you really care about consumer costs, focus on utility rate reform. Our electric bills are high because Dominion and Appalachian Power are monopolies and have been allowed to rewrite the utility code in their favor.

Thank you for considering my views.
