Keep Virginia in RGGI

There are many reasons to keep Virginia in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative. I'm a Christian pastor, so I'll share some reasons I suspect the RGGI makes God happy.

1) It's a way for people to exercise more careful stewardship of the earth, reducing emissions we know are harmful to the planet God made and loves.

2) It's a way to care for Christ by caring for our most vulnerable citizens, providing concrete help (like energy-efficient homes for low-income families and funding to plan for and prevent recurrent flooding) to people already jeopardized and harmed by climate change.

3) It's a path to a world in which all creation may breathe more deeply of God's Spirit of healing and wholeness. (For people, clean air leads to fewer asthma attacks and premature births, as well as fewer missed days of school and work!)

Please, please, continue making this investment in our communities and in the future of the earth and its atmosphere.
