Keep Virginia in the RGGI

Virginia belongs in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative.  RGGI was signed into law, having passed with bipartisan support in the General Assembly, and it is good for Virginians.  It reduces harmful emissions and improves public health.  Virginia is subject to devastation caused by extreme weather events and coastal flooding. RGGI is already providing dedicated funding to localities for flood prevention and coastal resilience.   RGGI is also lowering energy bills for low-income households while creating good local jobs.                                                     Joining the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative was a smart move.  The governor cannot legally withdraw our state from it by circumventing the law with an unelected board.
