Virginia Must Remain in RGGI

Coastal Virginia is one of the areas most at risk for sea level rise triggered by humanity's excessive reliance on fossil fuels.  Virginia's participation in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative is an essential step in combating this risk.  Not only does it address (partially) the root cause of this existential threat, but it also brings millions of dollars to Virginia to help mitigate the impacts which are already locked into the climate system.

Governor Youngkin's effort to withdraw Virginia from RGGI is dangerously misguided and, if successful, would have serious economic impacts on coastal communities and result in even bleaker prospects for future generations.  Virginia must stay in RGGI and use that as a stepping stone to even deeper cuts in Virginia's global warming emissions.
