I oppose the proposed illegal removal of Virginia from the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative. Virginia can continue to be a leader in resilience to climate change instead of a loser in the inevitable consequences of excess fossil fuel emissions. De-funding CFPF will make communities vulnerable to recurrent flooding that will cost billions of dollars to remedy. The lives and resources of citizens of the Commonwealth will be put in greater jeopardy without access to the foresight in planning that the RGGI ensures. RGGI not only creates resilience, but creates jobs that boost and protect our economy. Stop catering to the pocketbooks of the utility monopolies. This ill-advised, illegal repeal of a law passed by elected officials  puts all Virginians at greater risk and is disrespectful of our Virginia Constitution
