Opposed: Why oppress private adoption agencies?

This proposed law would regulate *private* adoption agencies. We aren't talking about public adoption services here, nor about the private use of public monies. Also, we aren't talking about private groups that want to place children in the care of people who "dangerous" by civil standards (e.g., giving an adopted child to a convicted pimp). On the contrary, these are private groups with a *more* selective, not less selective idea about what constitutes a "good home." They abide by all the legal civil standards, and also add further standards to make the child even safer, according to their lights.
